You'll learn about the history of okonomiyaki and the process of manufacturing, bottling and shipping okonomi sauce.
Take a behind-the-scenes tour of our factory, experience the history and culture of Hiroshima through okonomiyaki at the Wood Egg Okonomiyaki museum and learn to make your own savory pancake in our okonomiyaki cooking class. (Reservation required)

Hiroshima Okonomiyaki Cooking Class(with hot plate)

You'll learn cooking tips and tricks that you can use to cook okonomiyaki at home.
Okonomiyaki experience using a professional griddle is available at Hiroshima Station OKOSTA.

We'll show you what a day at the Otafuku factory looks like and what goes into creating a bottle of Japan's favorite okonomi sauce.
Take in the sights, sounds, smells and flavors of okonomiyaki culture as you learn about Japan's favorite pancake.
We'll tour the Wood Egg Okonomiyaki museum as well and learn about the history of okonomiyaki and the vital role it plays in Japanese culture.

Learn about okonomiyaki and the vital role the dish played in Japan's post-WWII reconstruction era.
See the sauce-making process and learn how Otafuku grew from a small retail shop to one of Japan's largest sauce makers.

When you arrive

  • Drinking on site is not permitted. Guests who appear inebriated will have their reservation canceled and be asked to reschedule their visit.
